In this dizzying picture, imagine what this climber is experiencing as he inches up a vertical rock cliff. He carries tools – probably rivets, bolts, pitons and chalk. But, there is no visible rope, as he hangs on for dear life.
ADHD can feel this way. One is aware, in an ADHD world, that others seem to effortlessly navigate an easier route.
But the one thing this climber has is a goal. He is finding a way. And he surely has grit.
Individuals with ADHD have incredible challenges. However, you need not be alone.
Coaches can belay you with safety ropes, look above you on that cliff, and help you plan the next few feet of ascent.
Progress always requires effort. But you need not fall to the ground.
